Eleven ... (& 12 goals for Lecca!!)

Now I think I've mentioned how much I am loving this months theme at My2Angels ?!?! LOL!! I could scrap this colour scheme ALL the time! So here is my 2nd LO which I posted a sneaky of in my last post, it is a gorgeous 'black & white' photo of my ‘ELEVEN’ year old and it is using a paper I actually picked and ordered for the other side (black patterned) but I really loved this side with the clocks that I just had to find a way to use it!
I'm hoping I've done this 'ever-so-slightly-vintage' style justice?!

EDIT: This LO was accepted for publication 29 July 2010 .... YAY!!!
and will be published in Scapbooking Memories VOL 13 No 4 due out in March 2011!
I have left you a little sneaky below though!

I've used Core-dinations Black cardstock and the gorgeous Collage Press Scrooge Marley The Counting House paper, I cut off a strip of the paper and then cut out the clocks. I put strips of red cardstock and some red ribbon down the edges of the paper to match the red around the clocks. Then using 3D tape I put the clocks back on leaving a ‘shadow’ gap.
The little clock face is something I picked up at a craft fair last year, cute eh?!

I’ve used some Black and Red Mulberry flowers and Black Plaid Brads and partially hidden them behind the clocks together with a Key and Follow your Heart charm.
The gorgeous Scrapware Penny Farthing Bicycle, I sprayed with Raven Glimmer Mist (but coloured the seat red) and then finished it off using Inkssentials Crackle Accent and some Black Pearls.
My title is a combination of Thickers Black Daiquiri alphas and the Jenni Bowlin Tiny Circle Alphas which I really, love at the moment! (they will be back in stock in the store later this week!)

Thanks for looking .... will be back with more soon, can't wait to share the rest of this months My2Angels work .... so here are a couple of very tiny sneaks .... and don't forget to check out the blog for all the other DT's gorgeous creations this month .....
Oh and I had the best day yesterday ..... in the morning my eldest son's footy team beat the undefeated top of the ladder team .... great win Cougars!!! and as some of my blogger friends have done before me ... a little shout out to my 'AFL' footy team ....... Lecca you are a legend!! TWELVE!!! goals what a star!!! great win West Coast
.... now if only we could get OFF the bottom of the ladder!!!
Till next time .....

Adore ... this boy!

Hi, at my2angels this month our theme is 'Black & White' with a touch of colour, and anyone who visits my blog regularly knows how much I LOVE black, so I am just loving this theme! So, being the school holidays, on Tuesday I spent the day with my buddy Corrina and we scrapped up a M2A storm! We haven't been able to do that in quite a while (Becky Fleck day excluded!) so it was just great to spend some quality 'scrap time' together!!! With lots of chatting and drinking coffee too of course!!! We are so lucky, our kids get on together really well, so we had a pretty uninterrupted day ... it was great! and she wouldn't let me leave until I had finished two LO's .. which I managed to do ...just!!! thanks so much for a great day buddy!!
So here is my 1st take for the month ... the photo is a couple of years old now, Feb 2008, when he was only 8 going on 9, he was sat in a play tube at Kings Park on an absolutely scorching day .... close to 40 degrees if I remember right!!! and what was I doing? well I had my new camera and was chasing them around for photos!!! LOL!!! Mama Razzi!!!!

You can see the tube better in these photos ....
I've used black cardstock which I doodled around and then machine stitched a 'patchwork' of pp's together and included some green card as my touch of colour! I've also added some my2angels bling and some other goodies from the store. The star is an idea I 'lifted' from Corrina, (her butterfly) cutting up some M2A felt (which is on special this month) and backing it will card to make your own embellies! Love the mirror 'XOX' from Buzz and Bloom on here ... so shiny!!!
All products are listed below ... just click on any link to take you straight to that item in the shop.
Other: Pink Paislee Paper, MLBOW Button & White Gel Pen

Thanks for loooking ... I'm off to create some more B&W LO's yay
.... infact here is a sneaky of my next one
... see you soon

Eclipse, a LO and some cards!

Yay! School holidays and a few days off work!! It has been a long 2nd term (11 weeks) so we are all really in need of a break in routine for a couple of weeks. And to top off a great weekend Corrina, her girls and myself went to 'La Premiere' last night to see 'Eclipse' ... great movie ... a glass of bubbly ... comfy seats and excellent company = a great night out! Although it was a little chilly (no make that a lot chilly!!!)  when we had to walk out into the cold at midnight .... in our record breaking cold snap here in Perth!!! Brrrrrr!
Anyway ... for the month of July, our theme at my2angels is black & white, however the last LO I did for June (which I am finally getting around to posting!) fits the July theme already! But not to worry, I don't think I am going to find it too hard to do more for this month .... seeing as it is one of my favourite colour combos!!
So here is my last June LO ... Special (girl)! Thanks Miss 'T', I promise I will scrap your gorgeous fairy photos soon! x
Products from the My2Angels shop are:
Others: PP Black Glitter Alpha, Maya Road Pearl Pins
I also made the following cards, one for My2Angels ....

... and one for my very special friends birthday a couple of weeks ago.
I'll be back soon ..... I am determined to get some extra scrapping done in the holidays!!
As always thanks SO much for looking and for your lovely comments .. oh and Happy 4th July to my US readers ... hope you have a great day .....

Scrap the girls!

I know, I know I don't have girls of my own but every girl needs a 'girly' fix! So here is my take on the latest Scrap the Girls Challenge .... Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!
It is the gorgeous Miss K again on her recent 6th birthday. She was dressed as a fairy but it was such a chilly day that she had her pretty pink coat on top of her fairy dress!!! Here she is opening some presents on her special day!
I've used some gorgeous Pink Paislee Papers and Bazzill swiss dots and bling cardstock.
I'll be back soon with some more my2angels stuff to show .. and don't forget to check out the blog for the other DT girls gorgeous creations .... tfl

More Websters!

... and more frames, real cute little mini ones!!!  Using more more Webster’s Life’s Portrait papers I made this LO of Corrina and myself busy creating (in our aprons!!) at the awesome ‘Day with Becky Fleck’ we went to at the beginning of May! We had just the best time and Becky (as I think I've said before!) was awesome!

I've used brown cardstock and then I made two cardstock and paper mats using some ‘Pure Grace’ paper and some slightly different coloured brown cardstock, then machine stitched around the mat edges twice and the photo once.
In the top left of the cardstock I cut out a ‘photo corner’ shape, which I put paper behind, then stitched around the edges. The flower is a gorgeous my2angles Peach mini gardenia sprayed with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist (although the subtle sparkle doesn’t show up very well in the photo). For the title, I have used White Holly Doodle Alphabet Stickers and Carole’s Creations Tiny Chocolate Alpha Stickers.
For the word ‘DAY’, I have used some my2angles Petite Silver Frames that I have painted the middles of with cream paint and then used Inkssentials Crackle Accent to give them a vintage feel. I've also used some cream pearls including one in the centre of the gardenia.
Click on any of the links to take you to that item in the my2angels shop.

Thanks, as always, for looking .... enjoy your week and I'll catch you again soon ..

A Christmas LO ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Anyone who follows my blog knows that I am not a 'pretty' scrapper! By that I only mean that I am not a massively fussy scrapper and hence (shock horror!!!) I had never used Websters papers before!!! This month though, Tracy of My2Angels sent us our DT packs, and asked us to focus on frames, and included in the pack some Websters Lifes Portrait Papers together with lots of goodies from the M2A shop to play with. So I flipped over the Reflections paper, from the pack, to match my style better, and made this Christmas LO!! (I know slightly out of season!!!)
I teamed my spotted paper with Core dinations Nightfall cardstock which I sprayed with some Marshmallow Glimmer Mist to give it a starry look. I covered the join with Black Velvet Ric Rac and then used White Ric Rac to make three 'strings' for my Christmas baubles which are my2angels Circle Pendant charms!
I put my photo on top of the my2angels Black Felt Scroll Frame as it was slightly too large to go behind it and sanded the edges to make it stand out a little better. I finished off with a Heart & Moon Frame charm for the date and some Silver Self Adhesive Rhinestone Stars for an added bit of bling.
Love this little frame and these glitter alphas .....
I used a Pink Paislee Glitter chipboard alpha and some of my favourite Carolee's Creations letter stickers for my title. Click on any of the links to take you straight to that item in the M2Ashop! And don't forget to check out the M2A blog for the other Design Team girls creations!

BTW I'd love to know what you think of my 'mini' blog makeover?? I made my nice new header and used one of the new blogger templates which I love as it is much wider than my old one!! Still love the black background though, so it's not really too much of a drastic change! Just a little tweaking!!

Thanks for dropping by ... Sorry I've not had too much to share recently, this cold weather is really playing havoc with my mojo!! lol!! I just want to snuggle up on the sofa at the moment and keep warm!!
Until next time ... Wendy x :)

Guest Designer

Hi ... well it's Sunday and that means its time for a new sketch over at Creative Scrappers! and I was SO excited when Kristine, the owner,  invited me to be their Guest Designer for sketch #107. Thank you so much Kristine, I love your blog and sketches and I had so much fun with this gorgeous sketch by Aphra. Check it out HERE.
For my take on the sketch I borrowed a very 'delightful' little girl so that I could do a 'pretty' LO with lace and stuff!!!  .. isn't she gorgeous! Thank you Miss K and Happy Birthday for Friday x x
Just love these BG Cappella pp's!
... I also used Scrapware mini butterflies, pearls, lace and mesh ribbon to cover the chippy heart ...
... and a gorgeous flower I picked up from my LSS SFTH
So don't forget to pop over to CS and have a go at this sketch and check out all the fabulous takes on it by the Design Team ...
..... thanks as always for looking I really appreciate it .. Wendy :)

Final post for May

Wow where did the year go ... tomorrow it will be June and the first day of winter YUK!!! and to make it really feel like winter ... I have a stinky head cold!!!! but I still managed to finish off a couple of projects for the lovely Tracy at My2Angels ... hope you like?!

Carrying on with my dimension theme at the moment I have again mounted my main photo on chipboard and cut out a second photo and used 3D tape. The photos are from DS’s footy wind up last year, I can’t believe how much he has changed in a year,  12 to teenager is one huge leap let me tell  you!! I have used some more gorgeous papers from the Bo Bunny Mama-razzi range, which I have distressed and mounted on some white cardstock.  I have used some PP Stickers for my title and then journalled all around the patterned paper using a Brown Slick Writer (I love Slick Writers) and added some Black Rhinestones for a touch of bling. This was one of those pages that looked like it might need a little something else ... but everything I tried just didn't do it - so I figured I must have been right in the beginning and went with 'less is more'!!!!!!
Just click on the products to take you straight to the item in the My2Angels shop.

For my 2nd LO I have used some gorgeous October Afternoon papers, Fly a Kite, Sprinklers and Thrift Shop, Last One. I am so not happy though with the way the photo has come out for this, as the cardstock, believe it or not, is a yellow colour not the creamy beige colour it looks here - but as hard as I tried it would not play nicely for the camera or even the photo editor!! So if you could please just imagine a lemony yellow colour contrasting with the blue and the black that would be great! LOL!!  The title is Thickers and the clouds are Scrapware painted with Ranger Liquid Pearls.  The flower is a lovely My2Angels Mini Gardenias centred with a Plaid Fabric Brad and finished off with some of their charms, a Love Key and some really cute Leaves.
The cute little birdie pin and black button are from

Again just click to take you to the M2A shop

Hope you have a great week ...will be back with more soon, once I have got rid of this nasty head cold!! TFL as always ... Wendy :)

Take 2 ..

Here is a LO I created for My2Angels ... I have used the gorgeous Bo Bunny Mama Razzi papers to do this LO of my sons 2nd trip to Coogee Beach to do a pre-season training session with his football team. They had the best time last year so their coach decided to do it again this year. I thought the title fitted perfectly with the paper!?! (Mama Razzi!)
I've used  2 sheets of the Bo Bunny paper and used 3D tape for some dimension. Click on the links below to take you straight to the My2Angel shop for each of the products I have used:
I mounted the large photo on chipboard ...
.. and do you like the way I cut out the photo of my son on the beach??

Thanks so much for looking ... enjoy your week and I'll be back with more soon ... Wendy :)

Year 5 Camp & a day with Becky Fleck!

I don't know where the time goes at the moment ... what with normal work and my after school sports taxi service LOL!! the week just disappears and I realise I have had no time for scrapping SOB SOB!! .... BUT this weekend was a little different ...... I had the BEST time yesterday with my friend Corrina and the absolutely gorgeous Becky Fleck! WA Create organised the event and we had such a wonderful day and came away with 5 projects and a heap of goodies!! I even got my Page Maps book personally signed! I will share the projects soon, I just need to finish them off and tweak them a little!! If Becky ever does the Perth trip again we would be there in a shot .... it was an awesome day and Becky is the most gorgeous person!!

OK now for a share ... Year 5 Camp at our primary school is something ALL the kids look forward to SO much and for some parents (me included) it is the first time our 10 year olds have been away from home on their own!! They go off to Kalgoorlie (mining town Western Australia) at 6am on a Monday (6 hours by train away from Perth) in the middle of winter I might add, and arrive home at around 9pm on the Friday! A whole week away but they have the absolute best time, this photo is my DS and his bestie at 6am on a very chilly July morning!
Our focus this month from My2Angels is their ribbons and other goodies.
I used some super cool My2Angels Extreme Cool Play Hard ribbon on this LO ....
Just click on the links below to take you straight to all the items I've used that are available from the M2A shop. The tree I have used is from Collections but Tracy has a Scrapware tree in the shop which is very similar. Whilst you are there don't forget to check out the other DT creations HERE! Oh and why not join the My2Angels ning site HERE .... you can add and share all your creations made using products available from My2Angels.
Products Used: My2Angels Ribbon
Similar Product: Scapware Tree

Hope your weekend was as good as mine (meeting Becky Fleck and my footy team won woo hoo!!), have a great week will be back soon ... take care, and as always TFL and for all your lovely comments ... cheers Wendy :)

100% Babe

I said I would be back to share another LO over the weekend ... so true to my word here it is!
When doing my recently blogged handmade felt flowers tutorial I also made this LO of my gorgeous 13 year old! Now I may be biased .. but I think this boy is going to break some hearts .. ?!

Both the gorgeous button and birdie pin are made by the talented Stephanie Hart and available from
My Little bit of Whimsy!

A full on 'Footy' day for us today .... an under 11's game this morning and then onto the 'Derby' this afternoon!! So hoping both the 11's and the Eagles can have wins like Matt's '14's' did yesterday!!
Awesome first game boys!!!! WTG!!!!!
TFL and for all your lovely comments ... always! Be back soon ... W :)
