A Girly Page!!!!

Well I don't do these very often ... a girly page!! What with having two boys and very few photos of myself in my stash (I am always the one with the camera!) I don't get many chances to do a 'pretty' page so I took up the Scrap the Girls challenge together with Scrapbooking from Scratch and came up with
this .....

BTW huge congrats to my fellow my2angels Design Team member, Tracey Hunter for making the new CT for Scrap the Girls .. well done Tracey!!

The paper is Crate Paper from my stash and the swirl 'embossing' is actually a die cut, cut out of the same cardstock giving it the look of being embossed.

Quick Post!

I'm busy, busy trying to finish off my DT projects for my2angles so just time for a quick post of my take on one of the sketches over at Pencil Lines It has been laid on out on my desk for a few days so whilst I was waiting for something to dry I finished it off!

And just to finish ... we had a great time yesterday at Adventure World with a bunch of friends, it was a really nice way to spend Australia Day and the weather was perfect!

Here are some photos of my son and his friend on the Power Surge!!! I had to take quite a few photos to get these!!! Can't wait to scrap them! (Click on the image for a larger view)

IB Sketch #40 ...

I've managed to get both sketches done this month from Inspired Blueprints! and the circles were not easy but I did it! The photos are from our trip to Adventure World last week ... these two love that chair lift!!!

I've hand stitched on all the embellies and the circle frames are chipboard, the title is die cut except for the Adorn it letters.

and check it out .... no black in there today!!! lol!! well except for one little rub on!!!

This is just a quick post today as I'm taking my boys to the movies to see Avatar this afternoon! Can't believe the school holidays are almost over!!!

I'm an 'Angel' .... yay!!

Firstly .. a BIG thank you to everyone who has left lovely comments and congratulations on my blog from my announcement yesterday ... I really, really appreciate the time you took to read my little blog and leave some love!! *mwah*
I now need to step away from my laptop!! and get some scrapping done!! blog hopping is both time consuming and addictive!!!
It "was a stinker" here today .. 43 degrees ...with more of the same forecast for tomorrow!!! so some more scrapping might be the way to go again tomorrow!!
In posting this I have realised I use black in my LO's a LOT!! whether it be card, pp's or photos it always sneaks in there somewhere! That said its a change from the red Chrissy phase I just went through!!
This one is for the January sketch challenge over at Anna's .....

The papers are Fancy Pants and the title is AC Thickers & Adorn it Letters.

Its Official .. and I am so excited!!!

Well the lovely Tracy has made it official on her blog so I guess I can now announce .. *drum roll* that I am very proud to be on the first ever Design Team for my2angels !! My first Design Team!! woo hoo!! can you tell I'm excited!?! I am so lucky to be on the team with 3 other very talented girls who I will introduce to you later, once they have had a chance to make the announcement for themselves! Congratulations and good luck girls ... I can't wait to get those first projects started and see what we all come up with!!

OK its later now LOL!! (and I can't wait any longer) I can now share the rest of the team with you! They are the extremely talented ...

A sketch challenge ...

Good morning! I couldn't sleep last night so in the end I got up and decided to finish a LO that had been laid out on my desk for a few days! Of course I still ended up changing it but it is all finished now yay!! I then had to wait till the sun came up to take a photo!!!
It is a sketch challenge from the very talented girls over at Inspired Blueprints. This sketch is also being used as the monthly challenge at Scrapbook Savvy so you can enter your LO at either or both. How cool is that!
The photos are of  my DS's football team's training session at the beach early last year .. they have another one lined up for this year too! They all had an absolute ball cooling down after the session jumping off that pontoon!

and a close up showing the gorgeous scalloped metal trims I used.

A few cards to share ... for a change!

I don't normally share the cards that I make, I'm not sure why, but probably because I am always making them just before they fly out the door for a party etc and all too often photos are forgotten about until its too late!!! I must change that ... so I thought I would share a couple of them before they leave!
The first one uses some really cute 
Scrapware ...... some Adorn it letters, ric rac, a button and some twine.

Wow just found out the lovely Ang at Scrapware has placed this card on the Featured Photos on their blog,  thanks Ang ... check it out here

This one is made using Quickutz dies, Adorn it mini letters with some hand stitching and inking.

made with birthday papers by BoBunny this pack was so bright and so much fun to make cards with.

and this one didn't actually go out the door ... it was for my son's 10th birthday last year. For the TEN I used a chipboard alpha which I painted and glossed, inked and then wrapped thread around!!! Turned out quite well I thought!!

Lastly this is not a card (obviously) but a page from a calendar I made. I now use it simply for display because I absolutely love this photo of Sam.

Well it is way, way, way past my bedtime (even for someone suffering temporary insomnia!!) so its off to bed for me! Thanks for dropping by ... catch you again soon! W x

2010 .... first post!
