Just chillin' .....

Being a long weekend here I managed to get a couple of LO's done today but only one I can share for now the other one is for Tracy at my2angels but I should be able to share it a little later in the week hopefully!
This one is the monthly sketch challenge for Anna's Craft Cupboard, I totally flipped it around and am really happy with the way it turned out! The photos were taken a few weeks ago at Coogee Beach!

Check out the little Scrapware birdie .... which I got from my2angels this month isn't it cute as!?!

The film strip is done using a Quickutz limited edition die.

Creative Scrappers!

With being sick I've not had as much time as I would have liked this month for my usual challenges but I did manage to get this one done for Creative Scrappers Sketch #91

Its getting so hard to get photos of the boys now .. I always find myself saying just one little smile ....... please? for mum? well I'm sure you know the drill ... on this one Sam was trying so hard not to smile but mum won!!
Papers are a Sassafras double sided which I got from my2angels and a Crate Paper left over and the awesome JUST is a Quickutz font. The orange stickers are Pink Paislee.

Kraft play ....

Hi, I picked up some Bazzill Kraft the other day to play with ... and this is what I came up with last night! I know, I know, there are clouds on there again BUT I just got these Scrapware ones from my2angels and they are so gorgeous I just had to try them out!!! lol!!! I then spent ages working out whether this LO needed a little 'something' else but everytime I put something on it, it didn't work so I figured I'd leave it as it was!!! The photo is my DS's 10th Birthday Sleepover with his best buddies!

... and here are those clouds again!! 

I used some Crackle Accent on the die cut 'TEN' and it worked quite well even on plain cardstock. The bracket ... well that was another story!! It has several layers of 'stuff' on it and it turned out a bit too glossy (still ok though) but I will have to have more patience next time and wait for it to dry between coats!!

DT Projects to share .....

OK .. well I'm feeling slightly better now than I did on the weekend, and it must be because of all the 'love' I received on my last post!! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by my blog and left me a message, I really do appreciate the time you take to read my posts, it really makes my day, thank you :)

So here are my DT 'Valentine' LO's at last, they are a 'little' different and all about my love for my boys! 

Lots of inking, embossing and distressing on this one and loved how rustic this paper looks! I have dry embossed (the large photo corner) and inked and embossed all the chipboard. I just love the mini butterflies from Scrapware ... they seem to find their way onto quite a few of my pages!! I am also loving using cardboard at the moment!! seeing as it was on my last post too!!! oops!!

The second LO is my oldest son taken a couple of years ago sat in a heart 'sculpture' on the foreshore at Mandurah, which I cut out and journalled around. I thought the heart fitted the theme perfectly! 

These Buzz and Bloom Clouds I've used on this one are awesome .... I just love the different patterns on them. Also check out the cute little my2angels charm 'follow your heart' .... gorgeous! Just click on any of the photos for a closer look!

A just because ....

I have not done many of these lately ... I have been busy with my DT work and I also just LOVE all those challenge sites!!! but I managed to snag this gorgeous photo of Sam last weekend and it was just crying out to be scrapped, so even though I have been feeling very out of sorts this week (nasty summer cold and lost my voice!!) I managed to get this finished yesterday!

DT Projects to share .....

Well the first week of school (and back to work for me!) is over .. and boy am I tired!! Hoping once I'm back into the swing of it it won't be so bad ... but this week was VERY tiring!!!
Anyway whilst we are talking Back to School, I wanted to share my first DT Projects for my2angels with you.
This month we did projects for Back to School and Valentines ..... now I can't share my Valentine LO's yet but I can share a BTS LO, an OTP and a Valentine card. You can click on all the photos for a better look and all the products stated have links back to the item in the my2angles shop.

First up the BTS page ...

For this I used Pink Paislee and Sassafras Lass patterned papers and Coredinations cardstock. I embossed the cardstock with the music Cuttlebug folder and lightly sanded it back so you could see the music pattern. The title is white chipboard letters, which I sanded and inked lightly, together with those mini letters that I use ALL the time and love so much!!! The cute little books and the 'shelf' are made from the sass paper and I added some chipboard photo corners for bookends! To finish off I hand stitched some schooly stuff .....

Next is a door hanger I made for my oldest sons bedroom door

I covered a MDF door hanger, that I bought a while back from Bunnings, with a Kaisercraft paper using mod podge. I've then used some white and black alphas and yep .. those little alphas again, a different colour though!! The 'black' chipboard letters are inked and embossed black ... they were originally an aqua colour so you see with embossing powder you can change pretty much anything to the colour you want. Tracy has a heap of different coloured embossing powders in store now. The front of the hanger has a die cut skull and bones and I've also used one of my2angels skull charms (so cute!!) tied onto the letter R with ribbon. Lastly I have used a chipboard arrow which I covered with twine and then inked for depth. Only thing is, I now have another to make as my youngest son wants one for his room too!

My Valentine card!!!! I made what I would call a 'crisp and clean' simple card using one of my fav colour combos ... black and red. Who am I kidding I love black with any colour!!! So of course I used more of the same black cardstock which I embossed with the Cuttlebug script folder. I also used the same white chipboard letters  as my BTS LO, and the pp is XOXO by Carolees Creations. I sanded the edges of the paper to make it look like it was mounted on white card and then I finished off with some my2angels own black velvet ribbon with silicon and red felt embossed hearts.
