Catch Up ...

Happy weekend! I am a little behind with my DT blogging this week .... had a few things on which have eaten into 'my' time so here are some cards for My2Angels using the gorgeous EP For the Record papers!

First  ...
Using white cardstock, I cut my card out of my favourite card die! but this shape could be traced using scalloped paper or cardstock. Or you could just as easily use a normal shaped card.
Choose your papers - the Echo Park For the Record range of papers have some great papers that have four 6x6 patterns on one side and a full pattern on the other ... the 6x6 patterns are excellent for cards as the size of the patterns are slightly smaller. I love using 6x6 papers when I am card making and Tracy has a gorgeous Webster’s Pages Spring Market Yacht Club & Country Estate 6x6 pad in the store, which you really should check out, awesome value for 36 double sided papers.

Oops I got a bit sidetracked there ... Back to the card LOL – I’ve used ‘Picket Fence’ and  ‘Vintage Linen’ for my red and black papers and a border from the ‘Borders’ sheet.  Then using good old eyelets (we all still have some of those!! Right?!?) and some Charcoal Bakers Twine I made 3 pennant/flag shapes! In the middle of each pennant, I used some letters from the ‘Alpha Cardstock Stickers’ to spell out, YOU. I finished by using some more of the alphas to make JUST FOR (love this red alpha) and ‘hand stitched’ around it in black pen! and Voila! First card is finished!

next ...
more white cardstock but this time with the green pattern on the ‘Vintage Linen’ paper and a strip of  the ‘Newsprint’ paper across the middle of the card.
The loopy border is from the ‘Alpha Cardstock Stickers’ and so is the ‘Celebrate’ sticker , which I have mounted on board and covered with Dimensional Magic to make it super glossy.
The circle is a cardstock circle, which I have covered in Charcoal Bakers Twine and mounted onto another die cut fancy circle. I have to say these Bakers Twines are seriously cool ...
I LOVE them!!

and, AND you must check out the new Bo Bunny papers which My2Angels have just got in stock ... I am SO choosing some Ad Lib for my next projects!!! Check this die cut out ... very yummy!!!!

I also have a layout to share but will try and post that over the weekend ...
so till then TFL and for all your lovely comments Y
Cheers
Wendy x
