Scrap the girls!

I know, I know I don't have girls of my own but every girl needs a 'girly' fix! So here is my take on the latest Scrap the Girls Challenge .... Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

It is the gorgeous Miss K again on her recent 6th birthday. She was dressed as a fairy but it was such a chilly day that she had her pretty pink coat on top of her fairy dress!!! Here she is opening some presents on her special day!

I've used some gorgeous Pink Paislee Papers and Bazzill swiss dots and bling cardstock.

More Websters!

... and more frames, real cute little mini ones!!!  Using more more Webster’s Life’s Portrait papers I made this LO of Corrina and myself busy creating (in our aprons!!) at the awesome ‘Day with Becky Fleck’ we went to at the beginning of May! We had just the best time and Becky (as I think I've said before!) was awesome! 

I've used brown cardstock and then I made two cardstock and paper mats using some ‘Pure Grace’ paper and some slightly different coloured brown cardstock, then machine stitched around the mat edges twice and the photo once.

 In the top left of the cardstock I cut out a ‘photo corner’ shape, which I put paper behind, then stitched around the edges. The flower is a gorgeous my2angles Peach mini gardenia sprayed with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist (although the subtle sparkle doesn’t show up very well in the photo). For the title, I have used White Holly Doodle Alphabet Stickers and Carole’s Creations Tiny Chocolate Alpha Stickers. 

For the word ‘DAY’, I have used some my2angles Petite Silver Frames that I have painted the middles of with cream paint and then used Inkssentials Crackle Accent to give them a vintage feel. I've also used some cream pearls including one in the centre of the gardenia.

A Christmas LO ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Anyone who follows my blog knows that I am not a 'pretty' scrapper! By that I only mean that I am not a massively fussy scrapper and hence (shock horror!!!) I had never used Websters papers before!!! This month though, Tracy of My2Angels sent us our DT packs, and asked us to focus on frames, and included in the pack some Websters Lifes Portrait Papers together with lots of goodies from the M2A shop to play with. So I flipped over the Reflections paper, from the pack, to match my style better, and made this Christmas LO!! (I know slightly out of season!!!)

I teamed my spotted paper with Core dinations Nightfall cardstock which I sprayed with some Marshmallow Glimmer Mist to give it a starry look. I covered the join with Black Velvet Ric Rac and then used White Ric Rac to make three 'strings' for my Christmas baubles which are my2angels Circle Pendant charms!

I put my photo on top of the my2angels Black Felt Scroll Frame as it was slightly too large to go behind it and sanded the edges to make it stand out a little better. I finished off with a Heart & Moon Frame charm for the date and some Silver Self Adhesive Rhinestone Stars for an added bit of bling.

Love this little frame and these glitter alphas .....

BTW I'd love to know what you think of my 'mini' blog makeover?? I made my nice new header and used one of the new blogger templates which I love as it is much wider than my old one!! Still love the black background though, so it's not really too much of a drastic change! Just a little tweaking!!

Guest Designer

Hi ... well it's Sunday and that means its time for a new sketch over at Creative Scrappers! and I was SO excited when Kristine, the owner,  invited me to be their Guest Designer for sketch #107. For my take on the sketch I borrowed a very 'delightful' little girl so that I could do a 'pretty' LO with lace and stuff!!!  .. isn't she gorgeous! Thank you Miss K and Happy Birthday for Friday x x
